These are the birds who have visited me Fairfield Glade, Tennessee, USA (36°1’26.261″ N 84°52’38.04″ W). I use Nikon D850 and D300 Cameras with various lenses; Mostly handheld. Tripod if the bird will hold still long enough.
Project Feederwatch offers an ID poster. Or go to Audubon for excellent reference. Click on the icon to see the detail-page. From there, clicking on the title opens the Audubon reference.
Obs: I was told Blue Jays liked peanuts. So I added some to the feeder and not 30 min later this guy appeared. How did he know???
A Murder of Crows: I was alerted by a few Calls, and looked outside to see about 11 birds gathering in the tree tops. They sat there quietly for 10 min before flying off as suddenly as they arrived. Foto was taken at midday on a gloomy and dark February.
Photos below show a Juvenile (no Red Head yet)
The male has a black band on his throat. The camouflage works so well that from 30′ feet away he was hard to see.
